The 3-day workshop is an introduction to the Context Oriented Theater method. Part of the experience is to share what we learned in a performance. For the last night of our workshop we will create a Sensorial Labyrinth Theater Experience that allows us to express the COT method for a small audience.

We are very happy we could invite Iwan Brioc - who contributed to making this theatrical method known in Europe - to direct the workshop. Monica Sandulescu is bringing ample experience and great energy from Bukarest and will assist him.

Costs.

3-day workshop, one night of performance:

little income price € 60,-

regular price € 80,-

supporters price € 100,-

This contribution will help to cover expenses and guarantee basic catering during the workshop.

If you are eager to participate but cannot afford it, please contact us and perhaps we can find a solution.

WORKSHOP

The Art of Looking at Ourselves

 march 17th to 19th 2016

Context Oriented Theater.

Context Oriented Theater, as the name implies, relies on the context it takes place in - that is the physical and social context. It is an approach that applies the looking-glass of theater to the many different and complex problems of our times. By doing so, it provides a platform for personal and social transformation.

Elements of the method include practicing enhanced body and sensorial awareness, allowing story and plot to evolve from the space being worked in, sharing introspective moments and directing consciousness of participants (actors and spectators) towards context related issues. These can be of political, socio-economic, cultural or personal nature.

Sensorial Labyrinth Theater Experience.

Sensorial Labyrinth Theater is a method that takes each audience member on an individual journey through a series of spaces. Immersive, sensorial encounters in the different scenes create a unique and intense experience for every participant.
